The ISI and its Associations actively encourage participation of developing country members and young statisticians where possible for various conferences, including the ISI World Statistics Congress and Association conferences.
In recent times, we have obtained funding for developing country participants through the World Bank Trust Fund for Statistical Capacity Building, AFDB, EFTA, the NASS-ERS Fund, and others on occasions. Each funding opportunity comes with its own sets of rules and conditions with regard to the type of paper or presentation that is required as a contribution to the scientific programme.

The International Statistical Institute invites young ISI Members to submit applications for the opportunity to participate as ISI Young Ambassador to the IBC 2022, the 31st International Biometric Conference, to be held in Riga, Latvia from 11–15 July 2022.
The funding for this opportunity is a joint initiative of the ISI and the International Biometric Society (IBS). The call for applications is open to all young ISI members; there will be at least one recipient from a developing country. The selected ISI Young Ambassadors to IBS will participate in the IBC 2022 and represent the ISI to help promote collaboration between the young statisticians of the ISI and IBS.
