The Workshop is organized by the International Statistical Institute in collaboration with the African Development Bank, with support from the World Bank Trust Fund for Statistical Capacity Building. It is facilitated by the Cameroon National Bureau of Statistics.

The overarching objective of the Workshop is to build a strong community of innovative and visionary leaders in official statistics who will be able to take advantage of the data revolution and respond to the demands of the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda. The Workshop will focus on enhancing the leadership and managerial skills of top managers and will offer a platform for exchanging the best practices and innovations amongst peers. It will be built around discussions on the latest developments in statistical practice with the aim of improving the quality of national statistical systems. Innovative strategies for structural improvements of statistical offices and systems will be discussed.

L’atelier est organisé par l’International Statistical Institute (ISI) en collaboration avec la Banque Africaine de Développement, avec le soutien du Fonds Fiduciaire de la Banque Mondiale pour le Renforcement des capacités statistiques. Il est facilité par l’ Institut National de la Statistique du Cameroun.

L’objectif principal de l’atelier est de construire une communauté solide de leaders innovants et axés sur l’avenir au niveau statistiques officielles, qui sera en parfaite mesure de profiter de l’évolution des données et de répondre aux exigences du Programme de développement durable après 2015. L’atelier se concentrera sur le renforcement des compétences de leadership et de gestion de dirigeants haut placés et offrira une plateforme adéquate en vue de l’échange des meilleures pratiques et innovations entre collègues. En outre, l’atelier concerné permettra de discuter les derniers développements en matière de statistiques ayant comme objectif d’améliorer la qualité des systèmes de statistiques nationaux. Des stratégies innovantes en vue d’améliorations structurelles des bureaux et de systèmes de statistiques seront abordées.
