I have been started my carrier at the Hungarian Central Statistical Office in Budapest, at the Deparment of Agricultural Statistics. I was responsible for sampling and estimation methods. For two years I was head of the Production Statistics section. I have spent half year at Eurostat as a trainee, dealing with Land use and land cover area frame sample survey (LUCAS). Since 2008 I work at University of Pécs, Faculty of Business and Economics. I teach many statistics related courses in Hungarian and in English at BsC, MsC and PhD levels (e.g.: Probability and Statistics, Business Statistics, Economic Statistics, Applied Statistics).

Angelo Mineo is Full Professor of Statistics at the University of Palermo. From 2018 to 2024 he is Head of the Department in Economics, Business and Statistics of the University of Palermo. His main research contributions concern the use of multivariate statistical analysis methods for specific application problems, the optimal estimate of parameters of a general error distribution, the diffusion within the university community of the use of the statistical environment R, through the preparation of graphical user interfaces (GUI) and packages (normalp package and collaborated in the preparation of dglars package). He has presented the dglars method, together with Luigi Augugliaro and Ernst Wit. Other contributions are in the field of Gaussian graphical models.

Professor Rhys Christopher Jones is the Associate Dean of Education at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, at the University of Surrey. Prior to this, he was based in the Department of Statistics at the University of Auckland. Over his career he has taught a variety of subjects, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, which include statistics, quantitative methods, and mathematics for science. He has also taught a variety of science-based subjects in FE colleges, which include GCSE, BTEC, Access and A levels. His primary research contributions are in the areas of curriculum development and the role of context in statistics education. Rhys’s research interests also focus on mathematical and statistical anxiety, helping to inform strategies to engage and motivate people in these subjects.
