Call for Webinar Ideas



Manfred Borovcnik and Ramesh Kapadia are looking for persons willing to contribute to the organization and preparation of webinars as a means to promote the exchange of ideas on teaching statistics and related research. Webinars have the potential to gather people from around the world at a relatively low cost. While webinar series are ongoing, including those organized by causeweb.org, there exist many other possible topics, including the following:

 

* Criteria of qualitative research to answer the quantitative challenge.

* The potential and drawback of publishing research electronically.

* The role of visualization in the development of scientific argument.

* The role of applications and modelling for statistics education.

* Finding ways to cope with the complexity of applied methods that influence societal discussion (e.g., PISA, risk in health).
