2020 International Biometrics Conference

The ISI Young Ambassadors for IBS – IBC2020 funding is a joint initiative of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) and the International Biometric Society (IBS). The call for funding aims to: promote collaboration between the young statisticians of ISI and IBS.

From 14 January through 2 March 2020, the International Statistical Institute received 26 submissions. Of those, 2 best papers were selected for presentations at the 2020 International Biometrics Conference. We are grateful for the outstanding work of the Selection Committee who have reviewed with expertise and thoroughness all 26 applications.

With due regard to the safe and healthy environment in mind, the IBS board has decided that the 30th International Biometric Conference 2020 should not proceed as planned in July 2020. The global concern regarding the coronavirus outbreak and travel concern, make it impossible for the IBS to hold the conference.

The current situation has required that we come up with the best possible alternative. We will be sharing details and will follow up directly with the recipients to inform them the appropriate next steps.

The International Statistical Institute and the members of the selection committee warmly congratulate the ISI Young Ambassadors for IBS – IBC2020.
