Second Virtual Conference on Teaching Statistics, Probability, and Combinatorics: Call for English, Spanish, and Portuguese Papers

 

This online conference, known in Spanish as "Segundas Jornadas Virtuales en Didáctica de la Estadística, Probabilidad y Combinatoria" will be held from 10 to 12 April 2015. Supported by the IASE, the event is being organized by the statistics education research group of the University of Grenada, Spain, and the teaching of statistics, probability and combinatorics research group of the Spanish Society for Research in Mathematics Education. The conference website http://www.jvdiesproyco.es is in Spanish, but submissions may be in Spanish, Portuguese or English.

 

Contributions can deal with many areas related to statistics, probability, and combinatorics, including assessment, teaching techniques, resources for teaching, teacher education, and new technologies. There are two contribution formats: papers of 8 pages or less; and electronic PDF A1-sized posters. Classroom activities are better presented in poster format; papers should include theoretical justification and/or collected data. 

 

Submissions will be refereed by a scientific committee. All accepted papers will be published in an electronic journal which will include an ISSN. IASE Satellite Conference, 23-25 July 2015: Preliminary Announcement

 

The next IASE Satellite Conference is planned for 23 to 25 July 2015, on the campus of the University of Rio, in the beautiful Bairro da Urca area of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The theme will be "Advances in Statistics Education: Developments, Experiences and Assessments". It will precede the 60th ISI World Statistics Congress, which will take place from 26 to 31 July.
