75th Annual Deming Conference on Applied Statistics


The 75th Annual Deming Conference on Applied Statistics will be held from Monday Dec. 2 to Wednesday Dec. 4, 2019, followed by two parallel 2-day short courses on Thursday Dec. 5 and Friday Dec. 6 2019.

The purpose of the 3-day Deming Conference on Applied Statistics is to provide a learning experience on recent developments in statistical methodologies in biopharmaceutical applications. The conference is composed of twelve three-hour tutorials on current topics in applied biopharmaceutical statistic and FDA regulations, as well as two one-hour distinguished keynotes on Monday and Tuesday. The books, on which these sessions are based, are available for sale at an approximately 40% discount. Attendees will receive program proceedings of the presentations. There will also be poster sessions.

The conference is sponsored by the American Statistical Association Biopharmaceutical Section. Walter Young has chaired this conference for 50 consecutive years. Samping Methodologies for Monitoring SDG Indicators


The Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), University of Dhaka is organizing an ISI sponsored workshop on 'Sampling Methodologies for Monitoring SDG Indicators' in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Topics to be discussed include: introduction to SDGs, targets and indicators; the statistical quality assurance framework; role of statisticians in SDG monitoring, data sources and challenges; role of surveys and commonly used sampling designs in monitoring SDG indicators; case studies; new technologies for survey data collection, analysis and visualization. Academicians, students, employees of national statistical offices, government and non-government organizations of SAARC member countries are invited to participate in this event. Workshop on Statistical Data Editing


The workshop is a Conference of European Statisticians, organized by the UN Economic Commission for Europe. It will take place at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland.

The workshop aims to progress work on statistical editing in the wider context of the High-Level Group on Modernisation of Official Statistics (HLG-MOS) work programme. In particular, the workshop will:

  • Identify new methods that can improve the quality and efficiency of Editing and Imputation (E&I);
  • Investigate the statistical quality risks arising from using new methods and data sources and the ways to address them;
  • Develop approaches to standardizing and implementing statistical editing functionalities;
  • Facilitate the sharing of experiences, ideas and tools for modernizing statistical data E&I process.

The target audience of the workshop includes methodologists, statisticians and researchers in official statistics working on editing and imputation of statistical data derived from surveys, censuses, administrative and external sources in various subject-matter areas.

41st Annual Conference of the ISCB


The International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB) was founded in 1978 to stimulate research into the principles and methodology used in the design and analysis of clinical research and to increase the relevance of statistical theory to the real world of clinical medicine. 41st Annual Conference of ISCB will be organized in the historic city of Poland, Krakow. Big Data Meets Survey Science (BigSurv20)


BigSurv20 will be held at Utrecht University, in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The conference offers an opportunity to address the ongoing paradigm shift in how researchers produce, analyze, and use statistics. The event is intended to foster communication, collaboration, and understanding between two groups: (1) computer and data scientists focusing on Big Data sources and analysis techniques, and (2) methodologists and social science researchers working with traditional sources of data collection and statistical analyses. By uniting efforts, we can identify and overcome academic divides and make unified "Big Survey Data" population inference a reality. This series of Workshops has a long history, and we welcome the opportunity to hold the workshop once again in India. CRR Day on 17th December 2020 : The present 28th IWMS will be held beside ICLAA 2020 (December 17-19, 2020) and CRR Day will be on 17th December 2017, the common day of events, to celebrate 100 years of C. R. Rao, who is among great Statisticians and Matrix theorist India ever produced. We are sure that 28th IWMS will be a great success with the participation of prominent researchers from across the globe working in Statistics, Matrix Theory and allied subjects. The purpose of the Workshop is to stimulate research and, in an informal setting, to foster the interaction of researchers in the interface between statistics and matrix theory.
