3 - 5 April 2018 CRoNoS Spring Course on Multivariate Data Analysis and Software
Students and Early Career Investigators (who have obtained their PhD degree in 2008 or after) from eligible countries can apply for a limited number of grants up to 650 Euro for accommodation and travelling plus the standard registration fee. Details can be found at the website.

11 - 13 April ModernStats World Workshop 2018
As  part of the Conference of European Statisticians’ work programme for 2018, UNECE will organize the ModernStats World Workshop.
The workshop is aimed at those who are responsible for developing, implementing and promoting standards-based modernisation of producing statistics. It includes those using or thinking about using models for the modernisation of statistical production. The programme of the workshop will consist of the following substantive topics: (i) Where to begin with standards based modernisation?; (ii) Implementing the models; (iii) How the models fit together; and (iv) Using a common language to collaborate.

24 – 26 April Survival Analysis for Junior Researchers conference (SAfJR2018)
Leiden University (the Netherlands) will host the 2018 annual international Survival Analysis for Junior Researchers conference SAfJR2018. This conference is aimed at career-young statisticians with an interest in the application and development of time-to-event analysis and related topics. This three-day event provides a unique opportunity for participants to present and discuss their work with peers at a similar stage in their careers in a relaxed and friendly environment.
The event includes a tutorial on multi-state models by Prof. dr. ISNPS2018
The ISNPS (International Society of Non-Parametric Statistics) conferences take place biennially. The Fourth Conference of ISNPS is co-sponsored by the IMS, the ISI, and other organizations.
The conference will bring forth recent advances and trends in several areas of nonparametric statistics, in order to facilitate the exchange of research ideas, promote collaboration among researchers from all over the world, and contribute to the further development of the field. The program will include plenary talks, special invited talks, invited talks, contributed talks and posters on all areas of nonparametric statistics. A round table discussion on the constitution of ISNPS and future conferences will also take place.

The 40th Conference on Stochastic Processes and their Applications – SPA 2018
SPA Conferences are organised under patronage of the Bernoulli Society and can justifiably be regarded as the most important international scientific meeting on the theory and applications of stochastic processes. They are held annually except for the years when the World Congress in Probability and Statistics takes place. The last conferences took place in Oxford in 2015 and in Moscow in 2017.
A call for SPA-2018 contributed sessions, contributed talks and posters is now open!
Submission of proposals for contributed sessions, contributed talks and posters are welcomed! The organizers encourage early submissions to leave the accepted speakers plenty of time to make travel and funding arrangements. The submissions will be assessed and good proposals are accepted on a regular basis. Accepted contributed talks will be grouped into additional contributed sessions after the submission deadline.

Data Science, Statistics & Visualisation (DSSV 2018)

28th Annual Conference of the International Environmetrics Society (TIES 2018)
The International Environmetrics Society (TIES) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1989 with the purpose of promoting the development and use of quantitative models and methods in solving environmental problems by scientists such as statisticians, mathematicians, engineers and computer scientists. It is an Association of the International Statistical Institute ISI.
TIES annual congresses are a key element in achieving the objectives of the organization. The TIES congresses are well established and have involved many of the most eminent researchers working in the area. This 28th instalment is taking place for the first time in Mexico and we expect it to be as successful as its predecessors.

ECMTB 2018 is a main event in the Year of Mathematical Biology 2018, promoted by the European Mathematical Society (EMS) and the European Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology (ESMTB). The International Seminar on Mathematics in Industry (ISMI) and the International Conference on Theoretical and Applied Statistics (ICTAS), ISMI-ICTAS18 is a joint conference focuses on all areas of mathematics applications. ISMI-ICTAS18 strengthens the tradition of conference excellence already established in the region by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Indonesia by combining these two events from two countries into one. 9 – 11 September ADVICE|2018 - First International Conference on Statistical Advice
ADVICE|2018 will be a meeting to promote and develop principles and strategies for biostatistical advising in academic biomedical research. It will also be a meeting place for researchers interested in sharing insights and discussing practical, ethical, and scientific aspects of biostatistical advising/consulting.
The aim of ADVICE|2018 is to help to improve existing biostatistical advising services at universities, university hospitals, and other research centers and to foster continued education of (young) advisors. Ultimately, ADVICE|2018 aims to provide a basis for the development of a set of “best practices” on modern biostatistical scientific advising.

12 – 14 September 6th Conference on the Use of R in Official Statistics (uRos2018)
Statistics Netherlands is proud to host the 6th International Conference on the Use of R in Official Statistics (uRos2018) on its premises in the Hague. The call for papers is now open.
The conference consists of a one-day tutorial session and a two-day scientific conference. Interested authors are kindly invited to submit abstracts through the conference website.
unconfUROS: the uRos2018 conference will be preceded by a short two-day unconference. This event is a two-day hackathon where we develop applications for official statistics. More information can be found at the unconfUROS github page.
uRos2018 is organized at CBS in collaboration with Statistics Romania, Statistics Austria, The University of Bucharest and the Ecological University of Bucharest.

17 – 21 September CSM's Randomised Controlled Trials Course
Now in its 16th year, the Centre for Statistics in Medicine (CSM)’s Randomised Controlled Trials (RCT) Course is ideal for anyone planning or actively involved in RCTs for healthcare evaluation, particularly those early in their career or those looking for a refresher course. The course uses a problem-based learning approach to provide a thorough grounding in the principles and practice of planning, conducting, reporting, and interpreting RCTs, mixing lectures and small-group practical work.
The interdisciplinary faculty of clinicians, statisticians, and trial managers, all with a wealth of RCT experience, includes CSM staff (e.g., Prof Doug Altman, Associate Prof Jonathan Cook, and Dr Vicki Barber), wider University of Oxford staff (e.g., Prof David Beard and Prof Ed Juszczak), and those from further afield (e.g., Prof Mike Clarke of Queen’s University Belfast).

19 – 21 September IAOS-OECD Conference 2018
The International Association for Official Statistics (IAOS) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will jointly organise the 16th edition of the IAOS Conference, Better Statistics for Better Lives that will take place at the OECD Headquarters in Paris, France.
With the aim of promoting official statistics, the theme of this conference Better Statistics for Better Lives will serve as an umbrella to discuss the most pressing problems regarding the production, dissemination, and use of official statistics. This conference will be an important driver of the agenda towards better understanding official statistics, increasing their usefulness, addressing challenges, and finding potential options to improve statistics in a particular subject or field.
