The International Environmetrics Society (TIES) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1989 with the purpose of promoting the development and use of quantitative models and methods in solving environmental problems by scientists such as statisticians, mathematicians, engineers and computer scientists. It is an Association of the International Statistical Institute ISI.
TIES annual congresses are a key element in achieving the objectives of the organization. The TIES congresses are well established and have involved many of the most eminent researchers working in the area. This 28th instalment is taking place for the first time in Mexico and we expect it to be as successful as its predecessors.

The International Seminar on Mathematics in Industry (ISMI) and the International Conference on Theoretical and Applied Statistics (ICTAS), ISMI-ICTAS18 is a joint conference focuses on all areas of mathematics applications. Workshop on Higher-Order Asymptotics and Post-Selection Inference


The Third WHOA-PSI will focus on emerging frontiers in post-selection inference, with particular emphasis on issues of accuracy, power and validity. More than 30 invited talks, and also Ph.D. student posters, will present recent advances in high-dimensional, selective, simultaneous, and Bayesian inference. Special attention is given to analytic and bootstrap-based refinements. New methodologies for model selection or change-point analysis may also be discussed, as well as relevant applications in need of post-selection inference procedures.

Meta-Research Short Course


The purpose of this 3 day course is for students to understand the principles of meta-research and to develop skills in relation to research synthesis, meta-analysis and assessment of bias in biomedical research. The course faculty comprises members of world-class reputation from Imperial College London, University of Edinburgh and leading institutions worldwide. There will be ample opportunity throughout the course to interact with the faculty, discuss your current research projects and receive feedback. The course will consist of lectures introducing the theoretical concepts which are subsequently illustrated by a keynote lecture and a practical session. Target Audience: This short course will be of interest to academics (students, and researchers), and scientists from the industry (pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, food industries etc.) who are interested in applying state-of-the-art meta-research skills. Now in its 16th year, the Centre for Statistics in Medicine (CSM)’s Randomised Controlled Trials (RCT) Course is ideal for anyone planning or actively involved in RCTs for healthcare evaluation, particularly those early in their career or those looking for a refresher course. The course uses a problem-based learning approach to provide a thorough grounding in the principles and practice of planning, conducting, reporting, and interpreting RCTs, mixing lectures and small-group practical work.

The Tenth International Triennial Calcutta Symposium on Probability


The Department of Statistics, University of Calcutta and Calcutta Statistical Association will jointly organize the Tenth International Triennial Calcutta Symposium in the Department of Statistics, University of Calcutta. Following in the footsteps of the earlier nine symposia held every three years since 1991, the symposium will offer a common platform to researchers on theoretical and applied aspects of Statistics and Probability, to interact and exchange ideas. A fairly large number of eminent scholars from all over the world are expected to attend. The Tenth Symposium will be dedicated to the memory of Prof H. K. Nandi on his birth centenary year. The International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB) was founded in 1978 to stimulate research into the principles and methodology used in the design and analysis of clinical research and to increase the relevance of statistical theory to the real world of clinical medicine.
