1885–2020
This page is dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the ISI, that we celebrated on 24 June 2020. In the course of 2020 we have posted posting various contributions from our members, including articles and video messages, dedicated to the anniversary.
The International Statistical Institute, back then also know as L’Institut International de Statistique, was formally founded in June 1885, during a meeting held to celebrate the Jubilee of the London Statistical Society. The first ISI members were the elite of that era’s statisticians in government and academia.
